By now this is no secret: "barefooting it" has more than its fair share of supporters and its benefits are well worth the extra calluses.
Scientists agree with CJJ, here's an article about the medical findings:

December Sun
It's been a great year. And the practice CJJ has been a great part of it. It is at 40 that I'm beggining to score goals and catch waves. Scoring an almost impossible goal is an undescribable feeling, and so it's catching the biggest wave in my life so far. Moving forward is the way. Sticking to the plan and philosophy has yielded excellent results. Natural energy, life force, vitality, livity, love, you name it. Now that' ve found the fire, gotta keep it alive and burning.
There's still plenty of time in the year to experience life in its richest context. Take for example the Sun in December. It's particularly special. It's rare, and it's most welcome during a time when we're saying good bye. It's the last sun of the year! Grab it while you can.
I thank 2011 for the teachings. This is one:
If you want to be a star, you have to shine.
The Sun.
